Milpitas Unified School District has partnered with San Jose City College/Evergreen Community College District to offer college and career pathways for our MUSD high school Juniors and Seniors. Please see below to review the pathway options, consider the benefits of Dual Enrollment, and to find out how to sign up for this excellent opportunity.

Dual Enrollment IGETC Pathway

The Califronia General Education Transfer Curriculum (CAL-GETC) is a series of high interest courses that California Community College students may complete to satisfy the lower-division breadth/general education requirements before transferring to either the California State University or most colleges and majors at UC campuses.

Computer Science Pathway

A graphic outlines the Computer Science Pathway for dual enrollment, listing courses and outcomes.

The Comp Sci pathway was collaboratively developed in partnership with SJCC and SJSU to complete lower division college courses as well as courses in the Comp Sci major. These strategic courses will well-position students to be accepted into competitive programs at the University Level or to immediately enter the workforce.

*Courses subject to change based on University partner recommendations.

Dual Enrollment Education/Social Work Pathway

This pathway provides the opportunity for students to earn 24 college credits including the 12 units required to earn an ECE certificate. In addition to immediate access to jobs in childcare related facilities, this pathway also provides a foundation for students pursuing baccalaureate study in TK-12 education; child psychology; children, youth, and family services; child advocacy; social work and other social sciences.

Our Engineering Pathway is open to all grade levels at the Innovation Campus – MHS Extension.  This three year pathway allows for students to accrue 36 transferrable college credits and provides deeper exploration into the field of Engineering.  Industry based field trips and work based learning opportunities with industry partners provide students with networking and hands-on opportunities.
